OBSERVATIONS
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve read this quote. I love the visual; relax and float.
Close your eyes and envision that quote. Feel the water holding you up, feel your muscles relaxing, see a blue sky with fluffy white clouds drifting over you, and at this moment, feel the absence of any worries.
Nirvana.
I like the idea of New Year’s resolutions, but I never make ‘em. Up to this point, I’ve always told myself that the end of the year is so hectic with a myriad of activities like decorating, shopping for presents, and wrapping said presents that I’ve got no time to slow down.
Then there’s managing the mental aspects of changing your wardrobe for colder temps, shorter days due to daylight savings time - anyone else believe it’s midnight at 7 pm? And finally, having to face the reality that all the things I said I’d do by the end of the year that are still outstanding won’t get done.
Research shows that nearly 80% of people abandon their resolutions by January 19th. How are you doing?
Are there things I didn’t accomplish last year? You bet! But I’m putting them in a box and sending them downstream, waving goodbye as they drift out of sight. Why? Because this is a new year, and if they didn’t get done last year, there’s a reason - even if I don’t know why.
In 2021 I’m focused on big goals. Goals that will stretch me out of my comfort zone and require me to do things I’ve never done. I’m embracing the person I need to become, rather than the individual resolutions that will, inevitably, fall by the wayside.
You with me?
As I was planning this epic year, I took time and outlined “Five Mistakes That Sabotage Your Happiness & Success,” and created a one-hour workshop that I want to share with you! Did I mention the workshop is FREE? Stay tuned for your invitation to join me!
Let's make 2021 the year you stop grabbing water and, instead, float with ease and possibility for all the fantastic things you want in your life!
